Earnings are generated via limited partnerships in tax-advantaged real estate.  These benefits, both tax credits and tax deductions, are used to reduce the income tax cost of the IDACORP group of companies.

 

The equity investments are held for long periods of time, often over fifteen years.  IFS's professional staff watches over the initial acquisition, the long-term holding period, and finally the exit strategy: seeking ways to maximize the delivery of tax benefits during the investment’s life, and maximize investor capital gains upon exit.

 

IFS has used its proven investment strategy to provide its shareholder, IDACORP with year-over-year earnings for over 12 years.  It continues to seek opportunities to deploy equity capital into the tax-advantaged investment industry – supplying vital project funding for high-priority public projects in the arena of core infrastructures (housing and historic renovations).
